A Terra - Olhão

One of the most amazing meals I’ve ever had! The atmosphere was perfect, the service very timely and friendly, and the food was incredible! Local ingredients with everything sourced either locally or grown on site. If you are staying in so around Faro, you must eat here!

We have eaten here many times but unfortunately our last visit didn’t live up to previous expectations. Great service and ambience however the food wasn’t fantastic and very limited menu. Mostly pizza and 3 meat, 3 fish options. I ordered lamb rack and was served 3 lamb chops which were over cooked and tough. There was chicken in the Josper oven but could quite frankly cook better at home. Very high prices for very average food. No vegetarian options for main course at all. Big shame as this was our go to restaurant for a really exquisite meal in the past.

Pros: friendly staff, nice ambience. Cons: food of poor quality at totally inflated prices. Sole was still half frozen inside, vegetables raw. The whole thing was served on a wooden board, so that the oil spread over the table.

We stayed at Vila Monte for four nights and ate here two of the nights. No complaints. Excellent food and service in a very attractive setting.
