R1 R1 Braised Pork Rice R1 卤肉饭 was nothing but a little ground meat and grease on top of a big container of sticky rice. E17 Pineapple Fried Shrimp E17 凤梨虾球 , shrimp and pineapple are good, slaw on top is weird, sauce seems mayonnaise-based.
I ordered tofu and jazzy. the rice was good, but the tofu was delicious not right. After talking to the person, he was well and taken away.
I lived 20 years in Chinese speaking areas. the first 10 were in taiwan. my wife and I have a training in living there and fell in love with eating. zoll ke brought us back to taipei. the restaurant was quite busy for lunch. we said that shabu shabu is served at night in a bar as opposed. strange name since shabu shabu is a Japanese court. the Chinese version is known in English language as hot pot, and in Chinese as whoa guo (understand that trying to make Chinese sounds in English language makes write options most of the dishes we had here are unique in taiwan. I lived and traveled in hongkong and in mainland China for the other 10 years in asia. the basilikum stir fry clams (aka bierhaus clams) were not found by me outside of taiwan. the stirring fry water spinach (aka con gin tsai) had versions in south China, but not quite the same. both were excellent. we had also stir frige noodles with pork, which was very good and authentic. they have a bokong (bao) made in whole china I saw with a sweet version of char siu. they developed the court into a pig bell. it may not be authentic, but it was incredible. I have left taiwan more than 30 years ago, so maybe has changed authentically. the only dish that didn't impress was the popcorn huhn. I've read about what's common in night markets. I didn't find it when we lived there. it was okay, but there was no punc taste in my mind. bottom line, if you know Taiwan food, go! just go! if they have an open mind to try new dishes, they give it a shot. if their idea of good Chinese food is hacking suey and panda express, they don't waste their time. I don't pay many restaurants than 5 stars. I would give the six if I could!
The best Chinese Thai food I've ever tried to live in my life. the aubergine? tasted like meat. I loved everything.
