Cantina Laredo - Omaha

I go here on tuesdays every so often for their 2 dollar tacos. They are very delicious, but I wouldn't pay more than 2 dollars for them. Some of the servers in the past have been rude to me but overall this facility is very nice.

I had dined at Cantina Laredo in Chicago and remembered it being pretty good and upscale Mexican place. By all means, it's a nice restaurant by any standards; however, the food was just ok here. I sat outside as it was probably one of the last few nice Fall days left of the season. It was really nice. The chips and salsa were nice and it was also happy hours. I ordered the $5 margarita. It was just okay. It had a burning lime taste to it. It was harsh. I guess for $5 I shouldn't have complained but it didn't go down all that well. I ordered the tortilla soup and the beef fajita quesadilla. The soup tasted better than it looked. It looked thick and way too tomatoey. However, it was filled with chopped white meat chicken. The quesadilla was nothing to brag about. It was okay but it did leave me a little disappointed as I was expected something a little bit more amazing. I saw them popping up everywhere. I hope they're really bringing their game. They already have had it half way there. Good looking restaurant should be serving great tasting food as well, not just okay.

Went here for my birthday dinner with friends and it was phenomenal. Food was great, atmosphere was great (we went during jazz on the green), and the service was great. Thursday night is ladies night so you can have half priced margaritas!
