Friendly and helpful staff ready to explain the menu. The dishes offered have an oriental reference. The products used are good but in my opinion they are not used to their best advantage, there are flaws in the preparations that do not fully enhance their potential. I was also disappointed by the desserts, I took a pecan and raspberry tartlet but the mousse inside had no flavour. It's a shame because the location deserves a lot.
Today we are talking about the Municipality of Omegna (VB) is an Italian municipality of approximately 14,300 inhabitants, in the province of Verbano Cusio Ossola in Piedmont. It represents the main center of Cusio and is located at the extreme northern edge of Lake Orta. Our visit takes us inside the 9090 Restaurant located in Via Lungo Lago Buozzi nr.37, the structure in modern architecture, raised from the road, has a privileged position where diners can observe the view through the glass perimeter atmosphere of Lake Orta, from a facilitated perspective having the pleasure of letting yourself be transported by the inebriating colors of nature. The restaurant is presented with attention to every detail, furnished with taste and elegance, showing on the walls the historicity of the Alessi Casalinghi company made in Omegna, bringing to life a visual journey of the products known in the world, a journey through history, which reaches the current reality represented by the minimal mise en place choice for the tables, Alessi branded metal objects, ceramics, an added value of elegance to the Location. The denomination 9090, named in honor of the long industrial tradition of Omegna, town of pots and coffee makers . 9090 is, in fact, the first Alessi coffee maker awarded with the Compasso d 'Oro and exhibited at the MOMA in New York, today used to present a representative dessert. The cuisine proposed by the Chef together with his brigade made up of young boys, I propose gourmet dishes in a modern key with some oriental influence (ingredients), an interesting imprint on the combinations, on the techniques used, a good start to then aspire towards ever higher levels in a to best represent the restaurant. Table service carried out correctly with detailed descriptions of the dishes. Wine list drawn up with detailed information notes, the choice of wines is not wide, carefully evaluated by selecting labels from producers of Italian/foreign importance, with valorisation of local and regional wines. Based on the dishes chosen à la carte, we opted for a still white wine Azienda Antinori Castello Della Sala Bramito del Cervo 2022 IGT, pure Chardonnay, has a straw yellow color with golden reflections also due to the refinement in wooden barriques. On the nose it shows intense fruity aromas with clear varietal characters and excellent hints of vanilla and toasted notes. Equipped with excellent structure, elegance and minerality, a quality wine, balanced by the right amount of acidity, perfectly unique to the ingredients chosen to create the dishes offered. A historic Tuscan company with plots in Umbria. Desserts are also an important part of concluding a lunch/dinner created with criteria, with the right balance. Davide Paletta.
Renowned restaurant in Omegna on Lake Orta. Perfect location, excellent food
Location undoubtedly beautiful, friendly and professional staff. The dishes... Good, but nothing unforgettable and definitely prices not in line with the quality of the courses. I mean, all good but too high prices. Too bad!
A new restaurant opened in the centre of Omegna, with an enchanting view over Orta lake. Chef Arvonio, back to his roots after a long experience in top restaurants around the world, offers an excellent choice of meat and fish, with a special attention for...intolerances, when. I loved the burratina with a “fusion” touch of sea asparagus, and was delighted by the pesto dish. Pork from East to West was a delight. Desserts are spectacular, too: I was very lucky to taste a Piemontese “bonet” that was not in the menu, but I hope they will soon introduce it! On top of the food experience, if you have the time and feel sporty, the restaurant is connected to the centre that rents bikes, boats, sup and other water sport facilities. A new must visit in lovely Omegna!
