Bottega Restaurant @ Uleybury Wines

Visited on a rather cool but sunny Sunday afternoon. We had originally visited another popular winery close by but were disappointed with their service so left and found Uley bury by chance. We started with some wine tasting which helped decide which wines to order with our meals. Staff were very friendly, wines were nice and reasonably priced and the pizza was great. Quite nice to sit outdoors in the sunshine for a few hours. Would visit again.

Just one of the best places I've been for a meal. Lunch or dinner. I've eaten all over the world in all types of places and this is really one of the friendliest places with lovely food. And great wines.

They never disappoint in their meals again this was fantastic and service was efficient and have fun and friendly staff.

This restaurant was totally unprepared for a group of 50 which had been prebooked. The menu contained only one item which was gluten free, and they ran out of this even before all the orders had been taken. When this was pointed out to the waitress, her advice was to "find one of the diners who will swap with you". From then on, it was a slow wait for pizzas to arrive one by one, until approaching 3.30 in the afternoon it was evident that the chef was cleaning up in the kitchen and some diners still had not been provided with any food. After a personal approach to the chef, the last diner was finally given a small serve of undercooked pasta at 4.00pm. In the meantime I had been asking to see the manager, who appeared after my third request, knowing that I had been waiting for at least 15 minutes to speak to her. Her explanation for the whole debacle was that the restaurant had recently changed hands, and they did not get the required information about the booking. The long drive from Adelaide was most certainly not worth it.

We had lunch here last saturday and was blown away with the amazing service, food and wine. The wine was a highlight of our whole expereince. Loved the 06 Grenache and can't wait to visit again.
