Niffer's At The Tracks - Opelika

Tucked in on a side street in the historic section of downtown Opelika is this neat little burger joint. Sure, there are more than burgers by I don 't know why you would miss the chance to have one. They offer a number of different styles of burger... pick your style first (Hawaiian was mine , then you choose your type of burger(beef, black bean, garden, lean turkey ... and then pick a side. The Cajun tater tots were great. Maddie (sp? took care of us and was happy and smiling the whole time.

Great menu items. Something for everyone. Fun atmosphere and servers. Chicken flautas are tasty and enough for a meal. Don't miss their fries!

Didn't like the food quality will not be returning! Service was horrible, took server more than ten minutes to acknowledge us. We were on a lunch break and had very little time to eat, food was prepared sloppy and unappetizing .

We ate at Niffer's Summer of 2022. The menu had great variety. We ordered several different items off the menu. Everything was wonderfully delicious. The portions were generous. The service was good. The ambiance was lovely. We enjoyed eating on the porch so our dogs could be with us. We can't wait to return and keep working through the menu.

I give Niffers an A+ for their menu and especially for their wide selection of burgers. The burger list is long and creative. I had the Avocado burger. Grilled avocado, jalapeño, and Swiss sounded like a great combination. It was good, but the avocado was not ripe. Is was hard and flavorless. I removed the avocado and it became Pepper Jack burger with lettuce and tomato. The jalapeños and pepper jack cheese were fantastic, just the right amount of kick. The burger was a little over cooked. I give the burger an A for design and a C for execution. I ordered the Cajun fries as my side. They are steak fries with Cajun seasoning sprinkled on top. The fries were not good. No crisp to them and actually a little limp. I give the fries a D. However my daughters said their tots were amazing; the perfect amount of crispness. Service was good. Out waitress was friendly and attentive. The food took a little longer than expected. Solid B for the service. In keeping with university grading scale, I give Niffers a B. PS. I would like to try the Gus Bus and the Orange and Blue.
