Joe's Sandwich Shop - Opelousas

Let me first say that joes is an institution in opelousas. eating was always excellent. that is why I must say how disappointed I was recently. we were entertaining family from the city and I ran over her eating. Hopefully it was a free day, but the broth on the poor young was very stiff. the french fries and their famous tweepering rings were dreadfully overboiled and burned near, and in the last time their famous fried chicken was very overboiled and dry. I hope this is not a new trend because I would miss so much sweat.

You can't go wrong. Anything you order is the best. Eat there frequently.

Best Hamburgers i have ever eaten, First one was about 47 years ago and they are still the same...except for the price, they used to be 5 for a dollar in the early 60's.

The ham and cheese salad, paired with the 4-piece white, was fantastic! Great job, Youngs! I’ll be returning soon.

I dined at Joe's for the first time last night, May 29, 2020, and I was blown away! I've had fried chicken in many places, but this was truly something special. The chicken legs were incredibly juicy and large, with the perfect amount of crispiness—not greasy at all. I've finally discovered a place that serves authentic fried chicken with a big, home-cooked flavor. Way to go, Joe's! I’m telling everyone about it!
