Mama's Fried Chicken - Opelousas

Great food always fresh and hot. Service can be a little slow because they are always extremely busy. Worth the wait.

Hadn't been here since back in 2008 but the food was still awesome Mama's never fails. That lemonade is still a big cup of deliciousness!

Some of the best fried chicken I've ate and the okra boy its the best I go just for it.

After seeing the sign for Mama's countless times on our way to and from Lafayette, we finally stopped to give it a try and we were not disappointed! The fried pickles were definitely the star of the show — perfectly battered and deliciously crispy. The fried chicken was good, but pretty standard for the area. My daughter got a double cheeseburger and it was juicy and delicious! She chose the fried okra for her side and it was really good as well!
