Butoilul de Aur - Oradea

Old stale bread,bad smelling ribs, cheap sauces, bottled mayo, bored and unprepared staff, high prices for the quality it offers. All in all, if you want a lemonade, you can go there, but don’t try eating.

We arrived at this restaurant after a visit in the beautiful restored city of oradea. Because we were in the area we chose this restaurant. The service was slow and unprofessional. A young inexperienced waitress took our order. After 5 minutes another waitress arrives and tells us they don’t have the salads we ordered as they don’t keep that kind of things in house. I was surprised as everything we ordered was exactly from the menu. Is either they have a very old menu, or they try to sell what they want. Anyway the food was not that great either all the potatoes came from frozen bags. And the prices are really big too for the quality and the service they offer. It really seems a tourist trap. Be advised to think twice before you enter this place.

It may be a boring restaurant when it comes to events and food but it's worth going there at least once for its gorgeous architecture.

L'interno del ristorante è molto bello con arredi classici, ma con la temperatura estiva meglio il giardino, molto animato ed un pò chiassoso. I tavoli non sono ben apparecchiati come quelli interni, ma è comprensibile. Piatti della tradizione, con estensione alla pasta ed alla pizza. Ottimo il filetto ed anche gli spiedini, discreta scelta di vini con ricarichi onesti. Meriterebbe un pallino in meno per i papanasi, troppo duri. Rapporto qualità/prezzo corretto, mediamente.

Perfectly located in the city center, the restaurant is tastefully decorated in the early 20-th century style. The food is very good, pretty good selection of wines and the service is outstanding.
