Feedback gevenWe have been coming here for years, and we have yet to be disappointed. For a starter try their Pepper Shrimp or their Crab Bisque, and for the main course try their Grouper Pontchartrain or their Blackened Mahi Mahi, both are fantastic. The tuna here is also great, and I would highly reccommend Ben's Blackened Tuna or their tuna taco for lunch.
BEST FRIED SHRIMP IN ORANGE BEACH OR GULF SHORES. Don't forget to get a cup for the crab bisque either. This place is a must if your in the area!!
We ate at Shipp 's twice during our week long stay in the Gulf. The food is delicious. The first time, we were there for lunch. We had their grouper dishes.both absolutely delicious. Service was a little slow for us. We asked for bread twice before receiving it. Other tables were getting baskets of bread several times. My grouper dish had a grill wire in it. The manager apologized profusely and offered dessert free. We returned for early dinner a few days later. We got there at 4:30 p.m. We ordered our food off the dinner menu, but noticed others around us had 'twilight ' menus. We asked our waiter what the twilight menu offered. He explained it as the best kept secret. If you know about it, it 's basically the same meal we ordered but without the dinner salad for a lot less expense. We asked why we weren 't given a twilight menu. He said it 's only offered if you ask for it. We felt that is an unfair practice. As seniors, the meal with the salad proved to be too much food for us and we could have benefited from having the choice without the salad, and less cost. So I 'm letting others know to ask for the twilight menu in order to make a better judgement on your meal.
This is an incredible restaurant! I absolutely love dining here for both dinner and brunch, as both meals feature fantastic menus. I'm particularly fond of their fish dishes and sushi. Honestly, everything I've tried here has been outstanding. We've been coming here for 6 to 8 years every summer, and enjoying the Mother's Day brunch has become a cherished tradition for us.
We had an absolutely delicious dinner. We ordered the special of the night, Grouper Ponchatrain, which came with a fresh salad, green beans, and Gouda mashed potatoes, all for $14.95. Our waiter, Chad, was fantastic. The view of the harbor with the sunset was stunning. This is a great restaurant!
