Dukes(Whitman street) is my favorite BBQ in south carolina. they are super nice people who serve traditional sc bbq with a smile, and in an extremely clean restaurant. I guess they never change, and dukes are all as good as when my grandparents brought me here when I was young. everything is top notch, but the fried chicken is divine!

My family didn't just like Duke's; they absolutely loved it! We've been talking about stopping here on our trips to and from Charlotte/Savannah for years. From now on, Chick-fil-A will no longer be our halfway stop. My personal favorite was the hot meat pudding served over rice (hash) along with the slightly sweet hush puppies. The little one, who usually can't stand pasta, devoured two plates of macaroni and cheese! Everything was delicious. The staff truly embodies southern hospitality and the warmth of a southern kitchen.

Another fantastic spot! I visited this place back in the 80s. It’s just a short drive from I-26 in Orangeburg. We opted for the buffet, which featured two types of chicken, pulled pork, hush puppies, mac and cheese, green beans, slaw, potato salad, and pork cracklings. Everything was delicious! My top picks were the fried chicken, green beans, and pork cracklings! They use disposable plates, cups, and utensils for convenience. The buffet includes everything you can eat and is priced at $15.
