Maria Bonita Mexican Grill

Best Mexican food ever! Molcajete was so delicious! And Fabby was a great server. Highly recommended

Not entirely sure why so many people like this place, my guess is that it's one of the few Mexican restaurants in the area with a full menu. Took my family here on a Saturday evening (Aug. 2024), we had a 45-minute initial wait time, which speaks to its popularity in the area. Server argued with us (party of 9) over giving more chips for appetizer, never came and checked on our status, never got any water refills, brought out the wrong order, and the food was meh. This will be our last time at Maria Bonita. I highly recommend Chile Tepin in Salt Lake City or Del Mar in American Fork, which are way better than this place. Parking: Parking lot is small and cramped.

Horrible service. Normally Maria Bonita is a family favorite (we were there to celebrate my son’s 9th birthday) but the terrible service tonight really detracted from the entire experience. We were a party of 7 plus a highchair so 8 total. We were seated at a table that could comfortably seat 4. Couldn’t use a highchair because there wasn’t room. We were told that if we wanted a bigger table we’d have to wait an additional 25 minutes when we had already waited our originally quoted time of 30 minutes. The birthday boy didn’t want to leave so we squeezed in and tried to make it work. We held the baby the whole time. When they brought dinner there wasn’t enough room for everyone’s food. Hot dinner plates were hanging off the table. Not worth the money for the crummy service. Sadly we won’t be back.

WOW, it was fun to watch at they brought out the food to others around us and watch their faces as they realized they will need a to-go box the helping are so generous. It also made us excited to se our when it came and we had the same reaction... Great Mexican food, Best in Orem, of its kind, lets just say its no taco stand or food truck food. ill say this, you wont be disappointed and you will be back.
