We went for lunch menu has a wide choice and of course , the option to taste the beer brewed on site. A good option is the beer paddle which has different beers served in pint glasses. For me , the standout was the Orkney gold. Sandwiches were very good , full of filings and with local ingredients. Soup was also very tasty a side of Haggis was superb. Service was warm and friendly food came out quickly despite the tasting room being busy. Considering this is a brewery, the tasting cafe is really good and would definitely recommend for a light lunch.
We visited Orkney Brewery during our visit to Orkney, and paid for a tour of the brewery. It was for four of us, which seemed expensive, until we realised that sample beers each were provided at the end of the tour (although my partner had mine as I was driving…..)The tour itself was very interesting. I thought I knew a bit about brewing, but obviously not as much as I thought. After the tour you can visit the brewery shop, where beers (and many other things) can be purchased. Bottles of beer start at about so comparable with supermarket prices for run-of-the-mill beers. In other words, good value indeed
Great tour, high quality wine in the shop and the tasting of the hall was delicious. in any case recommend a visit. loved the way the school history was woven into the experience. really enjoyed reading the wartime memoires during lunch, really brought the place alive.
Beautiful place, great eating and excellent staff. not too much annoying. would recommend it absolutely.
Great story, great people, great tour, great beer. nothing bad. while a limited menu (sandwiches) on the day we visited, eating was great!
