The Brass Tap - Orland Park

I attempted to visit yesterday since it was our final night in the city, and all the information online indicated that it was open. However, the door was locked, and there was no one inside. I called the listed number, but it confirmed that they were closed. I'm really disappointed because I was looking forward to trying this restaurant.

My partner and I had checked out the menu online and were excited to try a few drinks. However, when we ordered, the waitress informed us that the drinks we wanted were unavailable. She mentioned that they had been telling management to update the website, but nothing had changed. I decided to just order a beer instead of a cocktail since it was quite busy, and I didn’t want to complicate things further. While ordering beer is straightforward, the cocktail situation seemed chaotic and unclear. There was an event happening outside, so I understood that there might be a wait for the food, but we ended up waiting almost three hours for some sliders and tater tots! They didn’t offer any updates on our order, only vague assurances that our food was coming soon. Eventually, we had no choice but to leave. While we were at the bar trying to relax with our beers, we overheard the staff discussing other customers. One couple was frustrated with the lengthy wait and decided to leave, and the staff seemed baffled by their decision. Additionally, the busy atmosphere meant ice and spills ended up landing on us while we sat there, which was quite annoying. The staff were friendly enough, but they also made snarky comments about how outdated the website was, which made the experience feel unpleasant. I didn’t come to listen to their frustrations. Even though this place is just a block from my home, I won’t be returning. If you’re looking for a good beer, it might be fine, but don’t expect to get any food—it’s not that kind of place!

My wife and I were drawn in by the live music. There were so many beers to choose from, and when I shared my past favorites with the bartender, she recommended a fantastic brew. The menu had some intriguing options, but we had just made dinner at home. The staff was excellent, and I would definitely return. Thank you, Brass Tap!

Great grilled cheese! And wide selection of beers on tap and cans / bottles! Great service.

Food was decent. Beer was good. Lots of choices on tap. Lots of cans and bottles too. Bartenders were super friendly.
