A very nice address discovered by chance thanks to the magic of GPS when I was looking for a nearby restaurant around midday. Little advice, it is better to call in advance to find out if there is space because this Portuguese restaurant is very quickly full after noon, with tables mainly made up of construction workers, but also many regulars who know find the rare pearl with excellent homemade cuisine, more than generous portions, unbeatable value for money, and all served with a smile by a manager and waitresses who are friendly, polite, and devilishly efficient, even at lunch time. “hot stroke” from lunch. The setting is very simple, without fuss, the menu is short and efficient: 3 starters, 3 main courses and numerous desserts. The Portuguese cassoulet was a delight which brought back holiday memories and the homemade dessert, a real treat that I advise you to try if you have the good idea to stop at this Caravelle. A complete meal with a large bottle of sparkling wine, a quarter of wine and coffee for less than 16 euros, it deserves 5 stars and the furious desire to come back soon on my next visit to Ormesson!
