Frida's - Ormond Beach

Really good bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers. Barbacoa chimichanga was excellent, as were empanadas. My drink wasn’t quite filled often enough, and the chips are not quite as light as I like (the spicy salsa was good), but all in all a great food experience.

Had an amazing experience at this place. The price was extremely fair for the amount of food and drinks I ordered. The skinny margaritas are better here than at a any other place I’ve been at. Congratulations Ormond beach y’all have a real authentic Mexican

The atmosphere was pleasant and the experience started well. Yet once our orders came the waiter gave us a customary is everything ok? and that was that. When I finally got his attention for the refill of my tea, he took my WHOLE CUP (w/ straw) away and refilled it only he knows where!! See that 's what cost this recipient his 5star rating. He apologized saying we just got slammed all at once! 4 the delay in our refill service but it was 330 on a Sunday afternoon. His idea of slammed was 7 people in the same party. I may be sounding a bit harsh, however, the cup leaving the table was the icing on the cake . I don 't like the idea of my cup leaving the table with my straw. Even a fresh drink has a fresh straw. So my review is the food was alright but the service ruined it for me.

Below average Mexican food using safran rice and some kind of odd spice in everything we ordered. The best value is two barritios which are larger and less expensive than the three enchiladas. The beans were soupy.

First time eating at Frida's and dang I'm so happy we are getting the chain up here in the NC area! It was so good. The decorations and ambiance was also great. Definitely will return if I'm ever back in Daytona area.
