China Valley Chinese - Oro Valley

This restaurant is fantastic! It's a small spot, but the service is incredibly friendly. They give you an accurate wait time when you place your order. The prices are very affordable for Chinese food, and they can even customize most dishes to be gluten-free if needed. Our family has no reason to go anywhere else for Chinese cuisine. We absolutely love this place!

The vegetable dish with white sauce was absolutely delicious, expertly cooked in a wok to perfection, and all the vegetables were fresh, not canned. The Mongolian beef was generously portioned and packed with flavor, prepared with quality cuts of beef—something rare in most other Chinese restaurants we’ve tried. Since I’m not a fan of spicy food, I’ll ask the chef next time to tone down the heat to very mild. It took a few gulps of water to adjust to the spiciness and fully enjoy the dish. The pork foo young was filled generously with freshly cooked vegetables and accompanied by tender goat from Braunschweig, which was delightful. Chen Dee, the chef's daughter, served us with expertise and a warm smile. She demonstrated great knowledge of the ingredients and cooking techniques. China Valley Chinese Restaurant is a long-awaited gem for Oro Valley and, indeed, for the greater Tucson area.

This is the best Chinese restaurant I've discovered in the area. The MaPo Tofu tastes exactly like what I experienced during my trips to China. The clay pot soup is simply perfect; the vegetables are cooked just right, and the broth is delicious. It's definitely my go-to after a long day, especially when I have a sore throat or a cold. I highly recommend ordering by phone and picking it up yourself rather than using a delivery service.

There is enough for 3 or 4 people. Very tasty pretty sharp. New restaurant give them a break their work very hard do the best they can, but typical problems with a new business. The food was very good. Really hated to hear an old Geezer beach that he got the wrong rice and send it back. Relax, buddy there are bigger things in life than getting the wrong rice.

Had the hu nan beef, and was simply blown away. I never would have imagined that a two ingredient dish, particularly one of jalapeño and beef, could impart such a delicate bouquet of flavor. All ingredients seemed to be exceptionally fresh, and the beef was exquisitely tender. My food was prepared quickly, and the portions were more than generous. To top it all off the staff was beyond cordial, friendly, and helpful. I cannot wait to return. This restaurant will likely be my go to place in Oro Valley for some time to come.
