La Costa - Orsomarso

What a beautiful experience , local food we had goat meat . There are goats roaming around this mountainous area and a fresh river with herbs wildly growing along it . There is a tall rock ascending above called Longman Lunghouomo There is a pool for you to relax by and swim in , very fresh cool water . This is a local place and not known to tourists you really have to look for it . It is in the middle of the countryside and mountains and you will not be disturbed here . A 10-15 min drive from the town of Scalea . You will be very welcomed here a must visit not top class stuff but a dreamy day

I take my grandchildren to Italy every August and we have to go to La Costa for a lovely meal, a swim in the pool and to enjoy the lovely peaceful atmosphere. The people there are very friendly and the house wine is absolutely delicious!

The mountain refuge rigor is located in Florentine resorts on slabebasse, in the area of the foliage plateau. It is a restaurant-bar with few rooms (4-5), right in front of one of the ski and snowboard runs of the folkloreski area. the warm and welcoming atmosphere is just what it takes to recharge before returning to ski, boards or toboggan. the restaurant offers first, second and sweets of great quality, with simple but beautiful and very well presented, all at low prices. the first go from 6 to 8€ while the second start from 8-9€ to 13-14€ for the most elaborate dishes. some examples: spatzli, green gnomes to the gorgonzola, crespelle, lasagne, duck curls for the first, goulash, roe, grilled, stinco, roast, carpaccio with mushrooms for the second. naturally outlines the season. sweets are absolutely to try, pear cake and almonds on all! at the bar there is the possibility to have lunch even with simple sandwiches or toast. important note for skiers: in front of the refuge, where you can park, there are several ski lifts including a chairlift connected to all plants of the foliage plateau, a lift for a short ski descent, a snowboard run (jurassikpark snow) and a toboggan area.
