Terrible service, uncouth staff and general terrible ambience. Good food, bad service, not worth the stress
The food is affordable and decent. It's not fantastic, but considering the prices, it's acceptable. I mainly go there for the abula.
I can confidently vouch for the quality of their amala. I've tried it up to eight times just to see if the taste would remain consistent, and I was pleasantly surprised in every way. My usual order is amala, gbegiri, and ewedu with beef, which usually costs between ₦1200 and ₦1400, depending on how much protein I choose. I've never tasted gbegiri this delicious before, so I wholeheartedly recommend it! The only downside is that the payment and checkout system might seem a bit unusual, especially if you're not familiar with this style. Despite that, I highly encourage you to visit and enjoy the amala right there in the restaurant for the best experience. Good luck!
Iya Kan, a local food canteen, is quite popular in the area and remains one of the most sought-after spots for meals. Although there are a good number of staff working there, you can usually expect a long queue of customers eager to be served, so it’s not the best idea to go if you're extremely hungry — especially in the afternoons when her pounded yam is freshly prepared. I believe her regular customers are well aware of the timing. Overall, the food is quite good, meeting her standards nicely.
