I thought we could expect more from a Michelin star restaurant and had very good experiences with food restrictions in Michelin restaurants in other countries. we bleed hundreds of dollars to a meal that was a complete catastrophe.
I’ve never left a one star review on Happy Cow before, but feel that I have to for this. We ate here last night after sending a number of emails back and forth clarifying the different dietary restrictions of the members of our group (vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, pescatarian), and they completely blew it. Nearly every single course had something inappropriate served to someone. The icing on the cake was when they served rice with fish to the vegans, saying “They are only little fish.” And then when the vegans sent it back they clearly just picked out the fish from the rice, leaving the fish sauce and missing a few fish. The experience was made even more difficult by the fact that we had a very hard time communicating with the wait staff. I thought we could expect more from a Michelin-star restaurant, and have had very good experiences eating with dietary restrictions at Michelin restaurants in other countries. We blew hundreds of dollars on a meal that was a complete disaster.
Located above Honmachi station, this traditional kaiseki Michelin-starred restaurant offers delicately prepared dishes presented on beautiful lacquered plates. The courses are crafted with seasonal ingredients, resulting in fine and balanced flavors. The service is formal yet welcoming, with patient and friendly staff. I would definitely return for another visit.
The foods offered are mainly seafood kaiseki dishes, overall the food is very fresh and tasty, the only concern can be price and it is hard to say whether it is worth it.
I read about the restaurant chain days ago and my wife booked a dinner and paid from Hong Kong. On April 1, 2018, my wife and I drove from Mount Yoshinoyama and parked our car in Garden City's cellar 1. We were very happy to see that the restaurant was decorated with cherry blossoms from April!
