Mama's Country Kitchen - Oscoda

We dined there yesterday, and unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. All 8 of us felt the same way. Additionally, the service was nonexistent; the waitstaff seemed overwhelmed, yet they still added a gratuity to the bill.

I really dislike this place. I live right across the street and I won't be coming back. The staff seems to be trained to overlook unfamiliar faces. Even when you finally manage to get their attention, your order is likely to be messed up. It's not that they're unfriendly or lazy; they simply seem indifferent.

Mama's is our favorite spot whenever we're in Oscoda! Absolutely delicious!

On a road trip, stopped in for breakfast, five of us everyone's order was very good, large portions, great waitress, nice way to start the day

Went there today for breakfast while visiting Oscoda. This place is severely understaffed. We saw several people come in and sat down at tables and no one ever came to their table so they got up and left. I wish we would have done the same. It took forever to get silverware and our drinks. The food was not good. We got omelets, French toast and the super breakfast. The French toast was plain it wasn't even browned on the outside. The sausage was undercooked. The waitress forgot our toast and it took us twice asking her before she got it for us. The table next to us had a hair in their food, then my husband found a hair on his sausage. Absolutely disgusting. Why is the cook not wearing a hair net? We asked the server to split the bill and when she brought it back it was incorrect. She went back to fix it but didn't return. My friend had to call for her across the restaurant and ask her just to bring the original bill back and we will figure it out ourselves. I would avoid this place.
