It's been 5 years since my last review of Fazio's, so here goes!__If you would like to take your significant other out for an evening of relaxed fine dining

Probably the best Italian restaurant in Oshawa and area. Nice décor with quiet corners for special meals. Food is always good and they have a great wine selection.

Had dinner out with friends during the week. Our server was attentive and pleasant but our food orders took a long time to arrive because of a large special group in one of the rooms. My food, as well as my wife's, left a lot to be desired. The Caesar salad was good but they sprinkled powdered Parmesan cheese on it instead of shaving real Parmesan as they used to do.My veal parm was very so so. I love veal but this dish left me wanting. The small piece of veal was overcooked and the breading was soggy. There was so little cheese on it I wondered if I had ordered the wrong thing. I suspect they kept the first dishes that were cooked back in the kitchen until all 8 meals could be served which allowed my meal to get soggy. Several of the our group commented that the food was not as good as it was in the past having slipped a couple of notches.Personally I will not return since there are other Italian restaurants in the area that are better for less money.

The atmosphere is lovely, Steve was our waiter and he is wonderful. I love the decor. We have our favourite seat at the back of the main room. Calamari is fabulous. Cheesecake is fabulous. Pasta is fabulous. Try it soon as it is closing next week.
