Despite our concerns due to our age, we wanted to enjoy a meal out after such a long time. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The chicken leg was tough and the Caesar salad overdressed, with the server showing little concern when we mentioned it. The worst part was being seated next to a noisy family in an otherwise empty restaurant. I noticed that the restaurant was at full capacity, but many others, including us, are still cautious about indoor dining. Despite the empty tables around us, the server insisted we remain seated where we were. When I expressed my discomfort, she simply stated that they were busy and walked away. Overall, I was very disappointed with the experience and, despite being a long-term customer, I will not be returning with my mother to this restaurant.
Tipp. buy a whole chicken family contract. so much cheaper and they also cut it. there are also deal they get the spiced pommes as well as so much better
Ordered quarter chicken dinner and a bowl chicken soup to pick up at the location bowmanville. there was only one quarter inch sweet and pasta and two very tiny chickens. the rest was only liquid. for the price this is a torn. I spoke to the manager at this place who insisted that I had to take it up with the supplier company. I tried to explain to her that the supplier was not the problem that it was eating. she wouldn't recover. very poor customer service by swiss chalet, who would not accept the problem. Terrible!
Swiss Chalet restaurants in Ontario used to be famous for their delicious fries. However, now they have started serving worse quality fries. It is disappointing and it seems like neither the head office nor the restaurant manager cares. Despite many excuses, the bottom line is that they are no longer interested in providing their once loyal customers with excellent food. It is a shame to see them shoot themselves in the foot like this.
I always go to Swiss Chalet at this time of year for their Festive 1/4 chicken dinner. I know that we in Durham are in a red zone, but was surprised to find out that the dinning room was completely closed, so we ordered takeout....The chicken,(dark meat), was the smallest that I have ever seen. It was dry and the skin was like leather. The baked potato, stuffing, and sauce were fine, but not good enough to balance the chicken. At least they couldn't screw up the Lindor chocolates.
