T.g.i. Friday's Aker Brygge - Oslo

Yesterday, my family and I went to the restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was quite busy and initially they couldn't find our reservation, which was a little disappointing. However, once I showed them the reservation, we were seated promptly. Unfortunately, one of our dishes was delayed and when it arrived, it was cold. After I complained, the staff handled the situation professionally by replacing the dish with a new one that was perfect - hot and delicious. The manager even came to apologize, and the waitress was very attentive throughout. In the end, we received a nice discount when paying the bill. Despite the initial hiccups, the restaurant earned 5 stars from me for how well they managed the situation and turned the day around. Everyone can make mistakes, but it's how they handle it that truly counts.

We dined at this restaurant twice during our week-long stay in Oslo. The prices were a bit high (but that's typical for Oslo), however, everything was delicious and well-presented. The staff were friendly and polite, and we had the option to sit indoors or outdoors to enjoy the atmosphere. Despite the restaurant appearing busy, there were plenty of seats and our food arrived promptly. We loved the cozy atmosphere; it's a great spot for families to relax and enjoy a meal together!

As a tourist, I was quite surprised by my experience at this restaurant. To be fair, the staff was very quick and attentive to our needs. Our food arrived promptly and the quality was acceptable to me, although some others in my group felt it tasted like food from a gas station or a fast food restaurant. The initial server we had was unfriendly and appeared to be in a bad mood. It seemed like the staff had little to do as they gathered in a group near our table, which was off-putting. Additionally, the prices on the menu were quite high, with a 25% markup in Norway. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience. I have never encountered anything like it before. I am giving two stars for the decent food and fast service, but I would not recommend this place and would not return.

If they make a reservation, the table is just her for 90 minutes, so don't plan on a three curs menu. with slow service (20 minutes from us showed up until we had ordered) we were only taken in 15 minutes, waited and eat our dessert, so we skipped it. probably also if the Dessert dishes were as average as the most important courses. I love American dishes, but with burgers, the others on the table, answer when I asked if it tasted good, chicken benches that were overcooked and besides dressed that did not make it on the table until my meal was half eaten, and then tasted bland, there is no hurry back.

Food is always good. I can't believe you cannot get mustard, mayonnaise and tobacco with your burger. I had to pay for a chilli sauce.
