I had seen many signs on the road and a write up/advertisement made no mention of this. When I mentioned this to the worker, she shrugged and said, "You should have looked it upon the website." She was rude and unfriendly. She must be a family member because an employee would not last five minutes treating people so rudely. There are dozens of wineries in the area where customers are treated well; I would advise anyone to patronize one of them and avoid this place.
Entered to friendly greetings from servers. We chose inside seating with A/C but many outside tables occupied with umbrellas overhead and lovely vineyard views. All very clean-floors and tables. A varied menu with suggestions for wine pairing. Server Sherri provided tasters so we got just the right one. We ordered Butter and Korma chicken dishes-one can select their level of curry and the meal came with Basmati rice and Naan bread. All hot and plates were heated. Our American friend ordered Kushari and said it was the best lentil dish she had ever tasted. A lovely bistro in the heart of wine country. Definitely a return for us!
Another delicious lunch at Masala Bistro at Kismet Winery. Katti Kebabs, tandoori prawns and chicken, a spicy eggplant dish followed by chai tea, absolutely delicious! The chef, Howard, is world class and a real gem here in the okanagan. Next door at the winery the choices and decisions are just as difficult- best to just get a case of each!
This restaurant only opened two weeks ago, and they do not yet have their liquor license (coming soon). Masala has outdoor seating only, but a fully enclosed kitchen and washrooms. The dining area is completely covered to provide shade and is next to the vineyards and winery - a lovely atmosphere. The food was delicious! We had the butter chicken - yes it was rich, as usual but much fresher and brighter tasting than usual as they used fresh tomatoes in the sauce. We also had the samosa and pakora platter. Also delicious. The waitress was lovely and the chef made a special pasta dish for my daughter. The bill came to $40 for lunch for three of us and we took leftovers home. I would definitely come again. Can't wait for the liquor license to come through, as Kismet wines are lovely and have been paired with Indian food.
Seated outside with a reservation.Service was great, ordered a bottle of the Syrah. Started our meal with the Charcuterie and Chili Chicken. Both were great!Had the Butter Chicken and Korma, both very tasty and the Naan was exceptional.I look forward to my next visit.
