Calios - Oswego

I decided to try Calios because of their monthly BOGO calzone special on the first Tuesday of each month. I ordered their garbage plate-inspired calzone, which was fantastic and surprisingly spot-on. My family opted for the more traditional pepperoni calzones, and everyone enjoyed them. I also got a meatball calzone to save for lunch the next day, and I found it to be quite tasty as well. While they may not be the best calzones I've ever had, they were definitely good. The variety of calzones offered is truly impressive; I spent a few minutes studying the menu to get a better understanding of my options. Their hours are a bit unusual, likely catering to the college and bar crowd, as they're open from 4 PM to 4 AM.

The calzone flavor selection is fantastic! We ordered a supreme pizza and a Philly cheesesteak, along with a side of BBQ boneless wings and garlic dough bites. Everything was delicious and very satisfying!

I had a great experience at this restaurant. I used a Groupon to buy some calzones for my godchildren, and they absolutely loved them. The portion sizes are quite generous. The atmosphere is nice for chatting with friends, and the location is convenient—it's right in the heart of town, close to the river, a movie theater, pubs, and other attractions. It can be a bit easy to overlook, so better signage would definitely help, but overall, it was a pleasant visit.

We were in town visiting and looking for a place to eat at 7pm on a Sunday, which is apparently more challenging than it sounds. We stumbled upon Calio's and were wooed by the prospect of a good calzone. Color me impressed! We got the Super calzone, boneless BBQ wings and the dough chunx. All delicious! Highly recommended!

When I started coming to Oswego for school, I tried Calios for the first time and I was hooked! Their calzones are some of the best I've ever had! Ordered both at the restaurant and for delivery multiple times and never had an issue. Although prices go up around 25 cents a semester and they started implementing a $2 delivery fee earlier this year, the food is too good not to eat. Even though I'm no longer there, Calio's will be fondly remembered for making my college experience a little less stressful.
