Prohibition Junction Sports Grill

The wait staff was very friendly, but the margarita tasted like concentrated syrup, and the food was disappointing. The loaded fries were overcooked and soggy, topped with the most unappetizing cheese sauce I’ve ever had, along with bits of bacon. The burger had a tough, leathery texture and was only slightly better than the fries.

Unfortunately, it felt like we were waiting forever for our food—around 40 minutes in total. The homemade chips we received were disappointing; they were cold when I expected them to be hot. I had ordered fries with my burger, but received chips instead. The waitress apologized and said she would look into it, but she never got back to us about the fries. Eventually, she returned to ask if we wanted anything else, and we inquired about the fries. Her response shocked us; she mentioned that she thought fries came with burgers, but the cook informed her otherwise. After that, she made no effort to remedy the situation or correct the mistake. It felt like we were out of luck. We decided to just ask for the check. My burger was lukewarm, and my wife's sandwich was fine—neither terrible nor great, just average. The pricing for a glass of wine and two high-end mixed drinks was reasonable. While it could be a decent spot for drinks, I can't recommend the food. I initially felt excited when looking at their menu, but the reality fell far short of the enticing descriptions. One staff member even gave me the impression of being homeless and helped out, but I only realized he actually worked there just before we left. As we exited, we noticed an empty whiskey pint and beer bottle just five steps from the entrance, discarded in the landscaping. Overall, the environment and atmosphere were lacking, which dampened the dining experience.

We ordered burgers and kid's corn dogs. The burgers were excellent, while the chips were tasty, although some had clumped seasoning. The sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside but a bit undercooked on the inside. The kid's corn dogs had a batter that tasted like beer, and my family didn’t enjoy them. The outdoor seating area is pleasant, with games and TVs available, but it was quite smoky.

Stopped in with my wife for a late Sun night dinner. I had wings and she had patty melt. Food was decent. The Diet Cokes were very flat even though they were out of the gun. Place was clean. Service was good

Called in a pick up. Burgers were a little above average. But also took FOREVER to get them. A couple little parts of the order was wrong and missing. A bit pricey for what we got. Nice looking place. Biggest surprise was the place was empty on a Sundaynight during a Bears game. It was clean. Not really sure if I would go back.
