Tempura Wakisaka - Otaru

Very nice and crispy tempura freshly made and serve piece by piece in front of you. The shop is extremely small with just 8 seatings tho.

Excellent. You must stay in line from earlier than open time. If you go to here with 2 people, order vegetable and hokkaido special. That is a economic choice.

The tempura was bomb. Came at 2pm and had to wait for 15 mins. Must try in Otaru.

Very limited space inside, limited to 8 pax and if anyone with bigger luggage, advise not to bring in here as really no space for you to store it. No restroom here but you may walk to the nearby indoor food court beside on your left with the restroom available. Meal are good. A bit oil condition in the air inside as you will sit just in front of the chef and watch him preparing the meal course for you.

Ingredients were of decent quality, but the meal was quite pricey (like most eateries around the central sightseeing part of Otaru). Although there wasn't a long queue, the food took very long to be prepared. Somehow the service felt a little off and not very hospitable, even though they weren't outright rude or anything.
