Beautiful place, it's a paradise. Full of nature, surrounded by spectacular flora and fauna. Where the camera is pointed (to take a picture) you get a beautiful postcard. The cold you make in this place is compensated by the beauty of your lake. It is a very quiet place to get away from the noise of the city, take a step to the side and simply breathe fresh air, forget the pandemic and just enjoy this beautiful place. It's one of my favorite places. Excellent, I recommend
Lake San Pablo, from the Andean cosmovision, is considered a female lagoon, because the water is a purifying and life-generating source, so it has millennially been called Imbacocha . Located at 2660msnm, of volcanic origin. Its 583 hectares make it the largest lagoon of the 27 registered in the province. It is guarded by the Imbabura inactive volcano, which reaches 4,600 msnm. It is 10 km south of the city of Otavalo and there are trails, community enterprises, restaurants, cabins, water sports, super accessible to go with family.
