Was good new owners slow no drinks salsa sucks now and guacamole was lime and cilantro hard! They need old cooks and owners…
Looked good but food was cold when it came out I think the meat was reheated tasted like old dry meat and choriso was hard tasted funny I wouldn’t come back don’t recommend this restaurant
Service is fast, entrées are large, and the food tastes great! If you like cinnamon, their horchata is full of it. :
Although this restaurant always has diners, I didn't want to go. But during homecoming, all the fine restaurants had over an hour wait and my friend and I had already planned a dinner together, so this is where we landed. I like that they had cactus on the menu and the server was very nice. If I were planning for Mexican in the area, I would still drive to Jalapeños in Peru, but El jinete was not a bad experience in any way whatsoever. I just do not value portion sizes over flavor like most of the locals do. So, bring your hungry casual midwestern men here, if that's who you're taking to dinner in Ottawa.
