Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options. The service in the morning and afternoon was impressive. However, I had dinner there last night, and the service was disappointing. We didn't receive any drinks until our meals were served, and the waitress didn't check on us at all. Next time, we'll request a different server. Her name was April, and she was wearing a white sweater jacket. I could understand if she had been busy, but that wasn’t the case.

The food here is excellent! We stopped by after hiking at Starved Rock, and I can confidently say this place offers the best breakfast and brunch in the area. The staff is also fantastic!

A true gem! Our hotel recommended this restaurant while we were traveling, and it felt like a delightful step back in time. The service was quick, the food was delicious with generous portions, and dessert was included at no extra charge! They really made us feel like family. The prices are fantastic and offer great value. We saw a nice mix of families, couples, singles, and regular patrons. P.S. The liver and onions on the menu is really worth trying!

We went through town when we left Starved Rock Park. I saw an evaluation here that everything was great from prices to serving size to wonderful staff. That sold me. And I would say ditto!

Great service We had 5 different people visit our table in the first 10 minutes of being there. Food is great, large portions and great value. We really enjoyed our meal. Met the owner who took a personal interest in us which was very nice
