05/31/2022 UPDATE: for those of you who’ve been wondering what happened to fishy’s. They’re moving locations but haven’t reopened as of yet. The new name of the restaurant is “ fishy’s original jerk” they have a new Instagram account where you can find details once they reopen. Original review: Absolutely love the Jerk Chicken here! The owner of the restaurant is super sweet and you can tell by the way her food tastes that she has a lot of passion for cooking. This has become my go-to spot for Caribbean food. Can’t wait to try the other things on the menu

The best Caribbean food in Ottawa! Love their curry goat, oxtail curry chicken! Homemade Jamaican patty’s are a must to try, very authentic food. Highly recommend!

I don’t understand why it takes over 30 mins for food that’s already cooked? There was like 5 people ahead of me lol. I mean the foods alright ..the curry goat was good.. but the chicken soup.. red pea soup and snapper were all so salty. The gray hair lady had working the front(must be a relative of the owner or their moms) had major attitude with all customers (on phone and in person) she needs some customer training! I would try something else from here again but with the wait times and the attitude is not worth it ! And I’ve never been to a carribean restaurant where they don’t have pepper sauce? I’m so glad I don’t live in Ottawa and have many(faster, proper customer service and regular pricing) carribean restaurants here in the GTA… if you were located here the place would more the. Likely be empty .. literally just from the customer service ! The lady acts like she’s doing you a favour.. LAST THING.. DONT PAY IN CASH CAUSE SHE EXPECTD A TIP.. or will take it if irs only .50 change .. never have I wrote such a review but I’ve never felt so disrespected and frustrated at such a place.

Food was delicious and service was amazing! My parents and I enjoyed it very much!

Best curry goat I’ve had in Ottawa! I’ll be back, hopefully soon.
