Beijing Legend - Ottawa

After a handful of visits I've learned that many dishes are not authentic, but still tasty otherwise.

2.5 stars. The food was a bit on the salty side. It was also my first time seeing a headless and tailless fish. Interesting. Service was good.

The fact that the restaurant was almost empty at peak evening dining hour should have been a signal. But we had been here before and the food was quite good. Alas, not so this time...new chef or new owner perhaps? Portion size OK, prices not bad and arrived promptly (after all they were only serving a few customers) but the several dishes we ordered simply lacked flavour and taste. The restaurant has advantages..Bank street location, lots of free parking. But they will really have do lift their game insofar as the quality of the food is concerned.

Aeathetically pleasing. But understaffed. Waited a little too long for take out. But staff is pleasant.

Our go to dimsum place! The “wok hei” is amazing as well so order some fried rice or the highly recommended Singaporean noodles!Service is quick. This is where you’ll see all the Chinese grandmas eat —— you’ll know it’s good!
