Big Mort's Little Pub - Ottawa

Ended up at Mort's by random choice of after-work pub with a friend. I was pleasantly surprised. If there was a 4.5-star option, that's what I would give it.A friend and I randomly chose to try out Mort's on a Tuesday. We had their 2-for-1 large pizzas with 4 beers. It came out to $40 each, so I'm not sure it was the best deal, but the pizzas were surprisingly good. Was it the best I've ever had? No. But much better than any other bar pizza I've had, hands down.The bartender server was friendly and since the place only holds a couple dozen people the service was quick. It seems like a good business to support .. it's nice to see places like this that aren't just another chain or trying to be like every other Milestones, Barley Mow, etc.Would go back !Parking: Small parking lot beside Mort's, large parking lot at the next driveway leading behind the pub.

Not the same as Big Mort's little pub. Food is worse and no subs. Same atmosphere though.

Great pizza spot. Menu is short and sweet. It's one of those places that will be in business for a long time. They don't sleep on the ingredients and they got the pizza crunch just right.

This place offers an old school high quality pizza, nothing like what most places sell and call pizza these days. The dough, cheese, sauce and toppings are all fantastic. A generous amount of cheese and not too saucy, but not under sauced either. Toppings were all very high quality.

I just call ahead and pick up their pizza’s to go. But from that perspective the pizza is amazing and always ready in a reasonable time. Servers are always good with me.
