Big Rig Gloucester Centre - Ottawa

I have been here multiple times as well as the location near the IKEA. Great food and service every time. I have had the steak and most of the time I get pizza and love it. The selection of beer is great and you get a sample tray. The staff is great every time. Looking forward to my next visit.

Quick seating with no line at the door and we were given the choice of a booth or a table ...the two of us were first offered a booth near the entrance for a good 6-8 people and when my daughter and myself looked at each other, we were asked if a smaller booth would suffice.Bland coffee was provided free of charge with the breakfast although there was no mention of this on the menu and my daughter was provided with a bottle of Tropicana juice (at close to $4 this was on the high end).The breakfast itself was average fare with us both choosing the simple option ....mine was served with a thin slice of game which was grilled at some point and hers with breakfast sausage (3 links) ....the home fries were lukewarm upon arrival and ketchup was provided in 2 small containers (a nice touch as then you aren't using a bottle that has been touched by a gazillion people)All in all, not an unpleasant experience but given the other options available, a return visit for breakfast is not probable

Excellent daily special with Caesar salad. Beef on a skewer. Flavorful and good quality. Enough for two meals.

Lots of parking and it's free. Large restaurant and bar area. Service was good. Can be loud when it is busy.

Although the food is not bad, it is significantly overpriced for what you get. Their classic burger and pizzas are excellent, but most everything else is pretty mediocre, particularly when you look at what you are paying for it.Their beer, on the other hand, is top notch. If you're just looking for some drinks and snacks while you watch the game, Big Rig is excellent, but as a restaurant, it needs to step up its food or lower its prices.
