Cooper's Gastropub - Ottawa

The service at Cooper's is outsdanting, excellent. I had breakfast every day during my staying at Embassy Hotel

More or less typical pub food. Have had occasion to have burgers, wraps and their daily specials. All very good. Love that you can upgrade your fries to poutine. Excellent value--crispy fries, good gravy and lots of cheese curds. Delish.

The service at Cooper's is superior. Our group of 8 all received large glasses of ice water with a lemon slice - appreciated on a hot day.The coffee was good. It is not included with meals, and is $2, including refills.I ordered eggs with 2 pancakes and sausage and homefries. The eggs were perfect. The homefries were greasy and tasteless, and I could not eat the sausages at all - they tasted like they had been stored for a while.The pancakes were great, but did not come with real maple syrup. I really liked the selection of jams, peanut butter and even marmalade which was put out for the toast!If I went back, I would have the breakfast pita - it looked good.

The restaurant is in the hotel, the menu is quite diverse, the proportions are large and delicious, the service is good, so the impression is good.

Really enjoyed my meal from Cooper's Gastropub, although they could improve on a few things. For one, the menu online is outdated, and the menus placed in the hotel for in-room dining are also outdated.While the food was good, I was confused by the inclusion of sour cream with the chicken wings. What happened to the usual blue cheese or ranch?
