Dick Drive In and Dairy Dip - Ottawa

This burger joint is going downhill. Have been coming here since it opened. The last few visits I have noticed a change in service and food quality. This time the server seemed like she didn't want to be there. She and the kitchens messed up 3 of the orders. Burgers were overcooked, mustard added to a burger ordered with no mustard. Sides were all wrong on the plates. Everything this time seemed on the cheap. Hardly any cheese or onions on the burgers. small piece of lettuce and a small pickle for a $8 burger. I ordered poutine which I didn't get I received onion rings. So I said I would pass them onto the person who ordered them and she took my plate away. And brought back 5 onion rings for the persons combo instead of just leaving them. Once she my poutine the gravy tasted weird to much pepper, or some ingredient. The restaurant only had 4 other clients when we avrrived who had already ordered so no reason for screwing up. The waitress never returned to ask how our meals were. The table behind could be heard complaining about the service. The male had to get up and walk over to the server to place an order for desert as she never came back to check on them. For a family run small businesses I would expect better service and food quality. I was also over charged at the cash by $6 dollars more then the bill read? I'll vote with my feet and go somewhere else next time.

Our family loves eating at this restaurant. This family run business is one of our favourite restaurants. The kids love the variety of shakes. The variety of burgers are interesting. You will leave satisfied.

We went last night (8 of us aged 15-82) for supper at Dick's to celebrate our eldest 19th birthday. The cheeseburger is topped with real cheese and is delicious! Two of our kids had the Kangaroo burger and thought it was very good. The fries and shakes were very tasty too! Service was fast

Ordered the veggie dog combo for myself. The veggie dog was so over cooked the outer'skin" could not even be chewed. Fries were average greasy fries, nothing special at all. Had a black Cherry Float which was okay. My Daughter had the veggie burger and fries, she did not find anything special about it either. I did not find the restaurant very clean looking, and never once did the server ask us how are meal was. Will not be returning

Went there a few days ago and ordered the lunch special "a cheeseburger with fries and a drink for $9.99 The food was average but the advertising is misleading. It appears that you can have any choice of meat for your burger for this special but when we ordered, we were told it was only the beef burger or beef cheeseburger. I asked for my fries well done and they were not as crispy as I had expected. When we went to pay, the owner said "oh, I didn't charge you for the cheese" and we said we were told that it was a choice of beef burger or cheeseburger. She grabbed the menu stand that the special was advertised on and pointed out that it said beef burger. We said the advertising was very misleading and that it listed all the different kinds of meats you could have just below and it made it look like you could choose any. She argued with us and was rude. We will never go back.
