El Toro Pizzeria - Ottawa

ElToro is always good for lunch. They are consistently good at a great price. If you like pizza, you'll love this place. Lasagna has too much noodle to meat and cheese ratio though.

This place has great pizza. The price for a large with toppings is over $20 but the quality is worth it. The more toppings the better. This is just as good as Gabriel's Pizza but it does not have coupons. Great place.

Upon the recomendation of a friend that works at the Minto Building at 407 Laurier, I decided to try the El Toro place. I'm usually very critical of pizza because I have tasted very very good pizza at various location in Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto.This place although looks nice, friendly staff the pizza just sucks. The supreme which would by it's name be AWESOME just falls short. The ingredient aren't the best, they are your common frozen Italian sausage, beef, the tomato sauce isn't what you'd say "authentic" which in essence this can be compared to your typical fast food 1 for 1 or pizza pizza.The pizza dough doesn't have the authentic taste and lacks flavour. Imagine chef Ramsey reaction if he would stop by?I'm giving this place a 2 out of 5 as I would with any Pizza place that are into the business of just pushing it to the customer VS quality and taste.There's other alternative in the area. House of Georgie, 211 Gilmour Street or Ricardo's Pizza at Gloucester and Bay or Lorenzo's or even Louis.... so you have choices for quality pizza.

Great food, well priced and good service. What else could one want. THe menu has numerous dishes that will make you want to try them all, Don't miss this one if your in Ottawa
