Feedback gevenThe voodoo fondue was awful, we couldn't even tell what they were trying to create with it. To be fair, we were skeptical from the start as New Orleans-inspired cuisine has never been well-received around the world. We definitely won't be coming back. Our server was friendly, but the atmosphere of the restaurant was strange.
Not super impressed. Service was slow, and the food was only okay (had Blackened chicken pasta and fried chicken) . Wouldn't go back.
From the appetizers to the main course, everything was done to perfection. The coconut shrimp with dipping sauces were delicious, and the PEI oysters were fresh and flavorful. The steaks were perfectly cooked and came with garlic mashed potatoes and crisp seasonal vegetables. The flavors were outstanding. Although we were too full for dessert, the options on the menu sounded tempting enough to make us want to come back just for that. Despite any negative reviews, I would highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. Considering my extensive reviewing experience (over 300 reviews), I believe it's worth trusting my opinion over a random one or two negative reviews. Went to go here after a movie one night. They showed as being open. However no where did they post that their kitchen closes an hour before the rest of the establishment and only drinks are available. Would of been good to know that.
Get this while its here-won't be offered for long! Two couples for dinner chose this special. One couple choose the featured white wine (Trius, sauvingnon blanc) which we had as a starter wine and the other couple the featured red (Jackson Trigs, Cabernet Sauvignon/Cabernet Franc blend) Both very decent wines. The steaks were N.Y Strip loin cooked to order (three medium one rare) and served over a bed of mashed potatoes with grilled vegetables and kale. We ordered two desserts which were made in-house (a creme brule to die for and the bread pudding equally great.) Four decaff coffees, the total price $81.34 per couple before tip. We dined al fresco and had a great time. Extra compliments to the Chef who did a great job in the preparation and to Server Darrian who looked after us so well.
