Kfc - Ottawa

KFC used to be good a long time ago but has gone downhill over the past few years, which explains why most of the locations in Ottawa have closed down. I went for lunch after 1:30 pm on a Wednesday trying to avoid the rush, but the line was still very long. The girl on cash was on her own with no help while there were 10 people in line. There appeared to only be one person in the kitchen filling all of the orders. They were doing the best they could but the location is clearly very understaffed. The franchisee of this location should do more to improve the level of customer service, especially with 2 Popeyes locations opening later this month.

My friend and I used a coupon to get the 12 piece fries & gravy. The gentleman at the back said it would be 10 mins for the chicken which was fine, so we left and came back. After we grabbed the food and left we realized they gave us the wrong items, but we were too far at that point to turn around. Once we began to eat the food was horrible! The onion rings were old and hard, the popcorn chicken was old and disgusting, and the chicken pieces were soggy for being "freshly made" and they're was this distinctive flavour which I imagine came from the oil. The chicken tasted like either the oil needed a change or there was something burnt in it. Overall, such a bad experience that reminds me why I don't ever go to kfc.

I don't understand how this restaurant manages to stay open. I went there yesterday and they were out of chicken, so I was told to wait half an hour. I returned today and they only had wings and thighs available. It's no surprise that there aren't many of these restaurants around anymore. Thankfully, I tried Popeyes for the first time and I will never go back to KFC. With such poor service, I don't think KFC will be around much longer.

I am a fan of KFC. There's something about the fried chicken smell that makes me so hungry! A good family meal from here is popcorn chicken for the kids, fried chicken for the adults with mashed potatoes, gravy and the famous green coleslaw. We usually order their pouting as well, as my wife quite likes their poutine (and she's a poutine snob).

The chicken wings were deliciously crispy and not greasy. The popcorn chicken was also crispy and flavorful. The service was very pleasant and the food was delivered quickly and efficiently.
