I ordered the seafood linguine (it's always a personal favourite), but the scallops were mush and it had a very strong FISHY taste. I've had this pasta many times before and I never got that strong fishy taste before where it over powered everything else. I'd advise against this dish. My husband ordered the special of the day pasta, and he noted it was good, he tasted mine and said wow much better than yours ha. Overall I'd go back to try their pizza but I'd steer clear of fish at this restaurant. Service was great, they were so friendly attentive. I spilt something on myself and one of the staffed rushed my club soda. Small gestures like that know they care about the establishment. Again - I'd go here again, but I'd stick to their pizzas someone recommended the Brie one to me and said it's a must try,
Every time we have eaten at La Favourita we have never been disappointed with their fine Pizzas. We always order Their THIN crusted all dressed Pizzas, their delicious, the BEST. Try their Pizzas, you'll love them.
I've been here with friends 3 times over the last few years and their wood fired pizza oven makes for some great pizza.
This place is known for their pizza, but I was there to try pasta, so can't comment. My pasta was average...my calamari appetizer was disappointing. The calamari was in thick rings, chewy, and the batter was heavy with no flavour. I suppose that it was frozen? Lesson learned? Not every Italian restaurant in Little Italy does it right.
Drove into Little Italy looking for a great Italian restaurant and came across La Favourita. We sat outside as there was a big Italian family party going on a inside. It took a while for service to get to us from giving us bread ( no oil given) only butter in silly pots. Had to wait another 25 mins for the starters which was nice although previously frozen , whitebait, prawns and calamari. Got through that lot and was looking forward to the main. We ordered fettuccine with lobster tails and snow peas. Really looking forward to this and then the waitress put down Seafood linguine with small fake scallops, unopened mussels and unknown other stuff. The pasta was hard and not fresh. She said that's what was ordered but one thing I know is that when I order lobster I remember and look forward to it. I wasn't feeling it and didn't like it one bit. So all in all not a good Italian restaurant, didn't really get good service or good food and if your looking forward to a nice glass of red wine beware as its too cold and really small. Well I'll continue to search for "The Italian" in Little Italy.
