Lone Star Texas Grill - Ottawa

I had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The staff are very friendly, although I wish I got their names. The service was a little slow, but the food was excellent.

First time at a LSTG. Started with the onion ring horseshoe. Served with ranch and 'smokey ketchup ' which was a close match to a nice BBQ sauce. We both had the Southwest Salad (one with chicken, the other with shrimp). Great tangy lime dressing and very large portion which made it difficult to finish. There was a line up for the dining room but the bar side has open seating. Although service in the bar is a bit slow, the numerous tvs and music can keep your attention without too much trouble. Large menu with a number of interesting items. All meal items being served around us were 'Texas sized' portions. Go hungry or be prepared for some take home for tomorrow.

Service was good bit had to wait awhile for the bill. Food was good. Staff was very friendly. My first time there.
