Lone Star Texas Grill - Ottawa

I went here for lunch today with my Mom. I hadn't been for years and was very excited.We ordered the antojitos and nachos. 14$ for 6 measly pieces of tortilla with overpowering sauce on a huge pile of shredded lettuce.Nachos covered in shredded lettuce, a few raw sliced jalapeños, some (not a lot) melted cheddar cheese, maybe a tablespoon or two of diced tomatoes, a small amount of salsa with a tablespoon of sour cream at the centre. Bland. Bland. Bland. No taste. We didn't finish either and left feeling disappointed and still hungry. The hostess was not very welcoming and didn't engage in conversation. Our server was minimally engaging and when we told him our meal was less than sub-par, he said he would let the kitchen know and that was it.I won't be returning.Vegetarian options: You've got, maybe, 4 options with 3 being appetizers. One main course option.

This place will never disapoint me, I have been comming here since I was kid and nothing has changed, waiters are amazing, service is great, food is to die for especially the fajitas no lone star can comoare to this one

Okay so, my latino partner lives in Texas and I'm there every few months. I know how both Mexican food and Texan BBQ is supposed to taste like.This place ain't it.First, I got the wrong order. So my parents were eating without me.When I got the order, I was not impressed. The corn tortillas were fresh and that was nice to see, and the meat was good too. However, the salsita that the tortillas are dipped in to make enchiladas...wasn't it. It was not authentic and too thick. It also came with rice and beans (yay) I spoke to soon. The rice had too much cumin, wrong rice grain, and wasn't seasoned enough. The rice wasn't toasted either which is a must in Mexican cuisine. The beans were undercooked, missing salt and not seasoned well.The chips and salsa were good, but if you like more taste and some spice, I'd suggest adding cholula to it.The washrooms were dirty and smelled of mold. Menus and table were dirty...But the server was nice, so that's a positive.I don't think I'll be back, especially after a 115$ invoice.oh yeah, the water was good?‍?️

Great service. Food was good but not very hot. Atmosphere was not that good and the bench was like sitting on a slab of wood. Prices were good. Had a hard time accessing the restaurant.Parking: We arrived early so parking was good. When we left parking was scarse.Wheelchair accessibility: Needs improvement.

Take out order, $68 between two entrees and a drink. The steak was chewy, more fatty on the inside, not a lean cut as it used to be. Sauteed onion, undercooked and raw. Quality is going down for beef and what you used to get.
