Olive & Chili - Ottawa

This place is 100% gluten free but the food is all such high quality with so much choice that even people who eat gluten will enjoy the food here. There is an amazing choice of cakes we had the Mille feuille, chocolate eclair and red velvet cake and they were all incredible. We also had toasties and there is lots of hot food to choose from. Staff are really friendly and helpful!

A co-worker of mine told me about this place. I had driven and walked in front of this place numerous times but never noticed the gluten free decals on the Windows as they are covered by sun shades. I told the lady they need to have a better signage as this is a huge positive for anyone that is eating gluten free. To have a place where everything is fair game and that you have delicious options and not feel deprived or limited to 3 items on the menu while your friends rejoice eating whatever they please. I went in and had the hot buffet option. On the menu it was a beef brisket with the most amazing grilled veggies and roasted potatoes, they also had the option for scalloped potatoes or rice but I opted for the veggies and potatoes and let me tell you !!! the beef brisket was melt in your mouth perfection! and I cook alot and have never had such good roasted veggies. I went in the next day to try and snag the same lunch but to my dismay it was something else ... i was left to daydream about the most delicious brisket and veggies I've eaten in a while ! This restaurant is not fancy but more like a bakery/café type with a few seats and lots of quick options. I highly recommend it and just writting about this my mouth is watering !! the hot buffet was $11.97 Canadian

For someone who doesn't eat wheat, this sidewalk cafe was a breath of fresh air. The food was OK, the coffee bottomless and the staff helpful and friendly. The restaurant posts to allergen contents of every item on the cafeteria style menu, and the restaurant is ENTIRELY gluten free. The sweet pastry was beautiful, but I didn't try it. Breakfast wrap was fine - although I don't eat wheat, I'm not fond of gluten free breads, and the wrap was typical.Don't hesitate to eat here, though. You will find something good that won't make you sick.

Stopped by here around lunch time and decided to try the hot lunch buffet. Had the chicken, marinated green beans, and rice. Sounds fairly pedestrian, no? However, it was anything but! Very light and yet filling food absolutely bursting with flavour - VERY savoury - among the best lunch in Ottawa yet! The chef is passionate about his food and took the time to answer all of our questions and he clearly takes pride in his work. Topped it off with a warm and gooey chocolate chip cookie that again was anything but average. As an aside, the restroom is as nice and clean as the restaurant (which says a lot as one can rarely say this about most eateries). Do yourself a favour and check this place out.

One of the best Egg and Cheese English muffin I've had ever! Coffee and omelettes were great too. Tried a Chocolatin (Pain Au Chocolat) which was great too. Great location Friendly staff. Recommended
