Ottawa Bagelshop

The tiny plastic cutlery and polystyrene packaging decreased from the quality of the food. The breakfast was tasty but difficult to consume with the tools offered. The reuben was a disappointment and was also an uncanny experience. That was a rare trip for us...in two years because of Covid, but it will be the last for the Bagelshop, unless it improves its offers.

Always fresh, always delicious. I go every 2 weeks for a sorted dozen, and also homemade cream cheese.

I recently ordered Bagels and a Valentine's Day special, which was supposed to include heart-shaped bagels and cream cheese. When I received my order, I realized that the bagels were missing. I promptly contacted the restaurant at the email address provided in my order confirmation, but did not receive a response after two more emails. Despite the missing bagels, I tried the cream cheese with the other bagels I had ordered. Unfortunately, the poppy bagels were tasteless and bland. Overall, I would rate this restaurant a zero for customer service and a 1 for their bagels.

My experience at Ottawa Bagelshop and Deli was disappointing, and I doubt I will return. The lack of customer service was evident from the moment I entered the shop, with disorganized and indifferent employees. Despite there being multiple staff members behind the counter, only one cash register was open, leading to a long line of customers waiting to pay. After a customer suggested opening another register, a reluctant employee finally did so. The bagels at Ottawa Bagelshop and Deli do not compare to Montreal Style Bagels and are overpriced for what you get. Overall, supporting local businesses is important, but customer service should not be sacrificed in the process.

My experience here was worry free. The number of people at a time was limited, all staff wore masks or visors, payment was contactless, doors open easily. Oh yeah, the bagels were fresh and excellent! Will definitely come back.
