Sala Thai - Ottawa

Had heard a lot about this place and decided to try it. Had to start spring rolls and coconut soup and both very good. For one main I ordered a beef dish that was good, but there was missing something taste I thought. Overall, satisfied with our...order.

I love the food here. Think. Delicious with good ingredients. Metically clean colorful decor. LOVED. Very friendly staff and service.

When visiting Ottawa for a junior hockey game my friend and I chose Sala Thai because it is near where we parked our car. What a good choice was the food delicious and the service was impeccable.

It was nice to eat again in Sala Thai. As always the meals were excellent- wide selection of products on the menu, served at a perfect temperature, at very reasonable prices. A disappointment was the lack of beer (delivery chain issue post Covid)....Our server was pleasant. This place is still a good value for money.

Three of us ladies ate at Sala Thai tonight to celebrate a birthday. Although the food was OK, the lack of service made the experience less than memorable. There were about four or five occupied tables when we sat down, and we waited about 15...minutes for the solitary, overworked employee to take our order (she was also bringing take-out orders to the front, cleaning tables and doing the cash). When we saw how overworked she was, we didn’t even bother to ask her to explain menu items. We then waited about 40 minutes for the food to arrive. The employee never came by to ask how the food was, if we needed anything or to refill our water. She was obviously swamped and did her best, although that is ultimately no excuse. If management doesn’t have staff to serve in-house customers, they should remove the tables and only offer take-out. We will not return.
