Sushi Shop - Ottawa

I usually enjoy dining at the sushi shop, even though the portions are smaller than the bowl size. However, I had a disappointing experience recently. I arrived at 8:25 on a Thursday, a good half hour before their stated closing time, but found the doors locked. The staff inside were cleaning and just stared at me as I tried to open the door, laughing instead of assisting. There were no operating hours posted in the windows, but their online information indicated they should still be open. Who closes more than half an hour early?

I just bought a combo, and it was horrible. It seems like someone did them with their feet ????????????. It was definitely looking like something else except Sushi. I will never come back or buy again from this store, on the top of that the price isnot justified. Please save your money and run away from this place.

This place gets some bad reviews but I've been a few times, always with positive outcomes. Shown: Cherry blossom, tuna tacos, green salad. Delicious, fresh and good service, tuna poke bowl!

Last night, I ordered a grilled chicken mango poké bowl, which included avocado, cucumber, lettuce, and rice. Considering the name of the dish, I expected a generous serving of mango. However, there was only a tiny amount—maybe a teaspoon at most—chopped into small pieces and hidden under the rice. The avocado portion was about the same, and I don't think I even found any cucumber at all. The bowl was mostly rice, making up about 80% of it. I've previously had the fish poké bowls from this location, and they were quite good, so I was both surprised and disappointed by what I received. On the bright side, the grilled chicken strips were tasty.

My colleagues and I came across the Sushi Shop last year, and we've grown to love the crispy rice chicken mango dish. The service is excellent as well.
