Swiss Chalet Rotisserie & Grill

Whenever I go to Canada, the first place I go is Swiss Chalet. It has always been my favorite stop for chicken dinner. I love it despite all the negative reviews. You can get a half chicken dinner with fries and a roll for about $14. So good.

I like stopping at Swiss Chalet when I travel as I find it is comforting food, fast, efficient and easy.So I decided to have my wife and kids have a lunch there before going in the family since we were passing by (it was there first time). I was so disappointed for them as this experience was not great.The food for our plate was almost cold (except one of our kids), the plate my wife chose was really not good, no taste.The service was really slow despite having very few people only, and missing some condiments. I had to go up to ask our server to get ketchup and BBQ sauce that was forgotten in my plate.Usually pretty satisfied with Swiss Chalet but this time, ouch, sooo disappointed.

We go often for dinner to this restaurant and get good food and service but last week we four(two senior couple) went for dinner and we got exceptional food and service.we thought we should mention that in our review so others know that.we four went for evening meal very well greeted and promptly seated on nice quiet table we requested.this time our server was new staff and we were impessed by her friendly smile and service.she was there only two weeks but she was on the ball as if she been doing this for long time.service was excellent and prompt.we did tell manager lily about how happy we were and how much we enjoyed our dinner and service provided by young lady rochelle.chicken was always good as usual.dessert was good and toblerone chocolate bar was a treat.thank you rochelle,lily and swiss chalet for great chicken dinner.we will be there again soon.

We went to the restaurant. Bob ordered a 1/4 breast meal and I ordered the 1/4 leg meal.Bob's place looked lively. Mine however looked like a child's meal.I asked the waitress if my portion was normal? She responded "ya, the portion sizes vary". We paid. Then I sent the H.O . a letter and pictures. Their responce was generic and scripted...in other words...too bad! So, if you want to take your chance going yhere and leaving hungry...you've been advised. Dropped in to try two new menu items. New chicken with crispy skin - gross. Overly salty, burnt and heavy. Never again. New cheese and jalapeño mashed potatoes even nastier. Taste like cardboard with a hint of heat.
