The Works - Ottawa

When my wife and I arrived in Ottawa after a wonderful holiday season together in Nova Scotia, we found ourselves with an empty fridge and empty stomachs.

One day, my daughter and I ended up at this restaurant because the one we were originally planning to go to was closed.

This restaurant definitely serves the best veggie burger and gluten-free bun.

We have enjoyed the burgers and fixings here a few times now. The service is friendly and efficient. The menu is extensive. Any burger; any way you want. Sodas served in measuring cups. Just fun and uncomplicated. A few more appetizers maybe? We loved the deep fried cheese curds. Thanks.

Server was helpful as I requested a vegan meal. I would recommend that this restaurant have more on the menu for the vegan consumer, ie bread or buns. The veggie burger was ok. Salad was ok. The cost was high for what I had for a lunch. Total$25. I did order one beer which was almost $8.
