Veranda D'Or Restaurant - Ottawa

I ordered the delivery from this restaurant while I visited a sick related in the sick house. do their research and do not believe the good reviews. they are wrong! I ordered a combination meal that contains chickens. the hot and acidic suppe was terrible! the chicken court. an overwhelming smell of fish, and my sick mother was as disgusting as I was through the smell of rotting fish from a chicken dish. at contact said the restaurant owner lille, I must be wrong because you eat always well. instead of possessing herself, she disappointed. there are many excellent restaurants in ottawa, do they like one and go to one of them and avoid them. I have heard that the owners will soon go to rest and close the restaurant; it is likely that they have reduced the quality of the food to help increase their gains for rest. Pity!

They increased the prices by a dollar to $10,99; about the time! I think they deserve enough money now to offer them a reasonable quality of food. the dings were fresher, seemed no longer to be left over this time (for both reviews I came right. at 12pm, when the buffet was in full). they value the price when they are in the neighbourhood, but not as much variety as the big buffets for $4 or $5 more.

Szechuan and standard fare too Very good. They also have lunchtime buffet. I used to eat here once a month when I lived in the area I don't get back as often as I'd like but it is worth checking out for sure.

I was in the last few years at the V.D'or lunch buffet and it was always ok; not great, but worth the price. my recent visit was a great disappointment. the dishes were usually empty or cold; very slow to fill...up and if the freshly cooked food add, it is a very small part. the mostly OK soup was obviously left by yesterday: the broth was ultra-salty and the sommes boiled to mush (as it will happen after 24 hours in the suppe). the price was cheap, $9.99, it seems forever; I think it is time for them to increase the price and start to deliver a decent quality of the food. I'm not going back.

My wife and I went to this food on the basis of so many positive reviews and had the lunch buffet. not good. heavy salted bark, bland and overcooked vegetables, walking rolls. all in all their typical Chinese farewell and miles behind what a Vietnamese...Eatery features. again this was the buffet, so perhaps the menu offers redemption. we'll see.
